Need a spelling scheme that will engage and challenge children in a variety of ways?
A whole year's work - with displays, rewards and opportunities for co-operative learning,
home support and fun activities, spelling bees will ensure that the profile and level of spelling
will increase throughout the school and home.
Spelling bees provide teachers, parents and pupils, with a wide range of activities tailored to individual
need and interest. They can be used as homework, taught, collaborative or independent tasks.
There are 36 groups of words with full sets of resources for each of the 9 lists - 216 in total for children from 4-11
The words lists can be challenging, in terms of the understanding of the words, their application and how this can be taught. This is deliberate – it tackles the demands of the new curriculum whilst also giving teachers the opportunity to embed a deep understanding of language.
The sheets are designed to be attractive and well-spaced out to appeal to children, whilst giving them quality space to work.
